    Carb replacement

    I have a '64 Supersport and need a new carb. Has original Carter 4 barrel that I rebuilt, but just no longer reliable. Can anyone recommend a replacement that can be easily installed on a 238? Thanks for any help. Chris

    283 engine stalls in reverse

    First time CC owner...1964 Supersport with 283. Engine starts and runs, but when I put it in reverse the engine cuts out. Also, fuel leaking from bottom of carburetor. Too much in the bowl? Need gasket? Appreciate any insights. Thanks Chris

    I am a new CC owner. Boat is a 1964 SuperSport with original 283 engine. When clutched in to reverse engine will cut out at low rpms. If I rev the engine in reverse it won’t stall, only at low rpms. Once it stalls it is difficult to start, but after some starts right up again. Getting tired from...
