    Hook up the power to the motor and press the buttons to see if it runs, the hoses are available online - you need 4 two small ones and 2 large; there's a knob on the front for the reverse lock. If the motor is OK oil should be pumped out of the lines; replace them and bleed.

    It will turn faster but the torque changes; less torque will be available and the prop doesn't move as far. All you can do is go to a lower pitch prop - say 2". drop. Do you have a tach?

    You can figure out the GR by turning the driveshaft and watching the prop; put a pair of Vise grips on the driveshaft then put a mark on the gearcase and prop. Turn the driveshaft - it should go around twice and the prop goes once: this is a 2:1 ratio.

    I found the wiring diagram in my manual this should be the one for you I have the point setup procedure that uses a degree wheel (gray area), the wheel says to set the points at 45* which I would guess is 3 thousands of an inch with a feeler gage.

    They made 2 types of 1100 motors in 1966 - one with 2 auto coils and one with a switchbox and one large coil, you should determine which one you have to carry on. Don't remove the dist cap without taking the side terminal out first. The auto coils are available.

    When you install a new seal put Loctite Red on the steel part before you press it in.

    You remove the waterpump base (drain LU and remove the FLUSH plug) then pull out seal. Later models had a threaded hole located next to forward stud install a 10-24 screw turning until base is forced away from housing.
