    I have gear oil in shaft tube. No leaks from what I can tell in lower unit. Pressure tested at 10psi . Why would I have gear oil running down the tube? Motor is a 1987

    I have an 87 9.9 Johnson. Pulled lower unit off this morning and found gear oil up shaft journal. Drained gear box, pressure tested at 10 psi and found after about 30 min pressure would drop. Checked my fittings no leaks, submerged unit in a tank full of water , no bubbles. Why would I have gear...
