    Mariner 50 3-cyl 9596097

    Hi. I have done ignition timing 0o @Idle and 23o @WOT. I used timing light and cranked motor to see timing. Cranking speed 540rpm. How come timing is something much more advanced when motor is actually running? Shouldn't I see same same timing when cranking or running?

    Mariner 50 3 cylinder baffle plate gasket fail

    Hi. Any experience of failing baffle plate gaskets? Have you used any sealant glue or similar with paper gasket? I was getting water in 1.st cylinder and it seems that gasket have failed. There is narrow area between upper center bolt to water/exhaust chamber.
