    1968 McCulloch 7.5 outboard help

    I had just recently bought an old Desoto Manufacturing and Supply Co. 14ft jon boat and this old motor came with it. Tested the motor out the other day and cranked right up, put it in reverse and worked fine but when I put it in forward gear I would rev up but boat would stay absolutely still...

    Old Motor

    I have what I believe to be an old McCulloch 6hp outboard. From what I can read the serial number is 68600710-1931 and I believe the part Number or prefix is 574. Can anyone help me out on where I can find out more info on this motor?
