    Coil replacement

    I have a 15hp johnson running with 512227 coil s.one of them is dead. Can i replace both with a twin unit 583740 or 185170. Sadly this machine is a bitsa made sometime in the 80s 90s. So i cant give an exact model. Hmm buy one or a twin type for about the same money.

    Can i replace one plate with the throttle cam for a different year model. The part i need is 0338179 its a cam with adjustable part.i only have 1/2 of it no longer available. Any ideas

    Took a look at my carby today. I have only had this unit for a month. It was ifling too fast and would not respond to the adjudtment screw. It looks like it is the wrong needle its too long and thin. Talked to the old owner he told my he lost the old one some time ago. For now it works but...

    I have a tohatsu M5A2 built in 1980 After many hours search i still have not found a replacement prop for my motor. Old prop SA 301 64101 Stamped on the prop its very warn out.

    Tohatsu M5A2 outboard motor

    I have just been given a nice looking old motor.cleaned it washed out the tank Two or four pulls and away it ran. No water from hole in the exhaust port. I did use 98 unleaded mixed at 24/1 heavy but i fid not know how long it has sst around. Is there a water pump? Any and all info welcome...
