    Help Identify 1970 Merc 500

    I don't know what this is. It spits fuel so I assume it should feed back to the carb. Am I right do I need to attach a hose to this or should I cap it off? I can not find this in the manual anywhere.It's the fitting at the end of the pencil on the starboard side of the motor.
