    Cdi units for chrysler 75 hp approx. 1975/6 outboard ( 3 cyls)

    Hi All. I have replaced the expensive CDI units with common points and coils. (just in case something goes wrong when far out at sea) The units are working perfectly. If anyone wants them (for mahala), please let me know. Else I will dump them.

    How many folk do not have to pay exorbitant prices for replacement of blown CDI units of their 75 / 76 or earlier Chrysler outboards fitted with points in the distributor. There is such a cheap and easy way of converting this CDI system to a normal COIL system ( as used on the older cars )...

    75 hp Chrysler 3 cyls

    Hello everyone. Just wonder what the smallish bolt does/ is supposed to do. (small bolt in between gearbox oil fill and discharge bolts) On my 1 75 hp motor, small bolt is missing. Gearbox seems to be locked. Tks for reply. Jean

    1976 chrysler 75 hp

    I have disconnected all wiring from motor. Just wonder if any damage will be done to CDI unit when I use starter motor to turn boat motor./ start motor. Reply appreciated. Jeanjean

    1976 Chrysler 3 cyl, 75 hp

    On both my motors on gear-leg starboard side above oil refill cap is a screw and the word "grease". When I opened the screw, only thick oil came out. Granted, motors have been standing for some 6 years. Do I need to fill with grease? Tks for reply
