    Cant loosen pinion nut

    I have a 2006 Evinrude 225 hp e-tec I went to take off Pinion nut off spun the drive shaft and the nut and gear did not spin. It is a split drive shaft Any thoughts on removing the pinion nut. Thanks TJ

    Installing a new drive shaft

    I Bought a New Lower Unit for a 2006 evinrude e tec 225 hp. My ? is do I have to remove the lower drive shaft to install the retainer and roll pin or can I just tap it in place with a rubber mallet. I also can see a roll pin already in the lower drive shaft Thanks for any help tj
