    I have a 2003 Mercury 15 hp long shaft 2-stroke. The water discharge has always been very hot. The lower unit is hot to the touch. I've only used it in Cook inlet for halibut fishing one mile off shore ( only ten minutes out-ten minutes back). I'm concerned if I use the motor for longer...

    1983 OMC throttle control handle wont raise motor.

    I have a 1983 Johnson 75 hp 2-stroke motor on a 1983 Arima 15 ft. Sea explorer. The OMC throttle "up" is not working (no electric sound or movement). The throttle down clearly makes electric sound. So, throttle down works, throttle up doesn't.
