    pull starter recoil

    1958 7,5 hp. AD-12. Johnson replaced the starter rope on this engine, It hangs out about one foot after installing. Tried to align with the JE mark on he recoil, But, hangs out. How can I correct? Thanks for your help. GVB

    Carburetor leaking oil

    Hi, I am working on a 1994 Johnson OB. 60 hp Mod J60TLERS. Replaced the air silencer gasket and carburetor gasket last season, leaking oil. It is still leaking oil, what do you recommend I do now???:( GVB

    1994 johnson oil leaks

    Hi, Have a 1994 Johnson 60 hp outboard. Have noticed oil on bottom of cover underneath air silencer. should I replace gaskets and screws as recommended by manual. Why do old screws have to be replaced, can they be reused? What would other caused of oil leak other then gasket? Thanks, GVB

    ignition switch wiring 40 hp 1969 johnson

    I have a 40 hp johnson outboard 40esl69r. Ignition switch went bad and I have purchased a new one from sierra, new one has 6 terminals old switch has 5 terminals. Need to know how to wire the sw. Any help would be appreciated, boat is a 1969 larson runabout. GVB
