    Clunking noise when going into reverse

    I have a 2006 yamaha 150 hp 4- I have a 2006 yamaha 150 hp 4-stroke that when I go into reverse I have a clunking sound and then as you throttle up it dies. When going foward I have no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
