    2005 140 four stroke surges from 4500 down to 2500

    when i go offshore i run at 4 when i go offshore i run at 4000 rpm going out and i have NO probems coming home going wit the surf i go about 4500 -4800 rpm. after a short time the enngine will drop rpm to about 2800rpm for maybe 3-4 sec and then back to original rpm it will do this...
