    old style crossflow pistons 140

    I just picked up a 140 Evinrude . After pulling the Bypass covers I see it has the narrow ring land pistons. How long till they fail or is it even something I should be concerned about? Would my usage Play into this. Thanks Tony

    Ohm coils

    trying to get the correct coil trying to get the correct coil for 1977 140 johnson as 1 has a crack. have gotten 2 replacments that differ in apperance and ohms. the engine has 3 hole green coils with integrated plug wire and the replacments are both 2 hole black with seperate spark plug wire...

    "I have a johnson regulator ki "I have a johnson regulator kit #173573. need to know how to install, it has 2 wire assume 1 is a ground and the other? maybe connects to the purple wire on terminal block? One other thing any way to test this device? By the way it will be going on a 1977 140...
