Question about an in-line filter on a pressure tank?

If you look closely at this photo there's an in-line filter in the gas line on this pressure tank that someone has installed. Will that work? Or does the filter break the flow in the hose. It probably works but it's one of those things that if I were to do it there would be a problem.

Opinions on Sierra Full Synthetic 2 Cycle TC-W3 Marine Engine Oil?

I've been using it for a while now and it seems to be good stuff. I've not had any plugs fouled since I've been using it or any motor problems. I've been running the mix at about 32:1 in my old Johnson and Evinrude outboards and about 50:1 in my chain saw and weed-eater. I've been paying just...

Dumb question on a 5.5 hp Evinrude...

In the diagram below for a 1957, 5.5 hp, Evinrude item 15 is called an "oil drain valve plate" and item 16 is called an "oil drain leaf valve". My question is what do these things do? I really don't understand what they're for? It appears they're just 2 brass rectangle shaped pieces of metal...

Converting early Johnson/Evinrude dual gas lines to single line...

Anybody that's thinking about converting the old dual gas line on their Johnson/Evinrude motor to a modern single line such as I'm doing to my 1957 model 5.5 hp Evinrude I found this aluminum body Ashata fuel pump on Walmart's web site for $10.11 with free shipping...

    Terrible quality junk ignition parts...

I just ordered a "genuine" Johnson/Evinrude tune up kit for my 1957 model 5.5 hp Evinrude and the quality of the points is pathetic. They're made in Turkey and the steel they're made out of is thin compared to the old points that came out of it. They wouldn't line up and they won't adjust right...

Found a pretty nice old Evinrude...

I ran across this old 5.5 hp Evinrude, model no. 5514, made in 1957 that I bought a couple of days ago. It has a few scratches but no dents so over all it looks pretty good to be 61 years old. It's not been started in several years so the carburetor is going to need a good cleaning and a carb...
