    I got started.
    adjust the slow speed needle back at 1/2 - 3/4 turn from gently seated position.
    The carb must be absolutely squeaky clean.

    I just moments ago got my Evinrude 73' 9.5 going after some very frustrating attempts.

    Sorry for the response...looks like I have a bigger issue.
    The compression reading for top cylinder is 65psi and the bottom is 80psi.

    Oh boy, I thought it was just simply reinstalling it with the way I removed it. What if I don't have one of these fancy ring, would it affect the performance? Isn't the original screw holes good...
