    Re: Rookie mistake, need help

The oil would end up in the cylinder, which would explain why your flywheel "locked up". Have your pulled spark plug to check?

    Re: Joe?

    Hey guys,

There is a thread dated 10-22-2019 in the Johnson forum, titled "new owner questions". Post # 5 may answer your question. I just happened upon it while scrolling through on lunch today...

    Re: 1981 25hp - Spark Plug issue

As far as the spark plug situation, any auto parts store will sell a repair kit that includes inserts as well as the proper tap. They work well.

    Re: Looking to buy

Awesome thanks. I spoke with the current owner it's still in the water so good to go for a test run. Compression check for sure. He wants 4200, but this time of year I'm sure I'll get a few bucks off...

    Looking to buy

    Hey guys,

We have been looking for a while for a decent pontoon setup and came across this one. The boat is an 88, not sure the year of the engine. Any thoughts on this vintage Nissan?...

    Spark plug question

Easy one hopefully guys, and probably discussed many times before. The manual for the 1968 55hp shows L76v surface gap, but while ordering some parts from this site today I happened to come across...
  14. Re: 1969 Merc 1000 TOP serial: 2685637 Over-charging?

Assuming that's an unregulated charging system, rectifier only, that's completely normal.

    Re: Foamy wake, possible cavitation

Only 2 things I can think of that would cause this. Engine is either too high on the transom, or the prop is possibly damaged and needs to be taken to a prop shop for repair/replacement.

    Re: 1985 70 evinrude

That idle speed is normal on muffs, and will drop quite a bit once it's in the water.

    Re: 68 55hp trl-10r shift issues

Ok so just a quick update... Boat is stored on a lift.. lowered it in after work today, fired it up once it was low enough to get good water but high enough not to move. Shifted into forward, forward...
