    Kill switch connextion

Just when I thought I had no other projects to do, the world of boating has given me a new one.

Honda BF150A6. Kill switch does nothing (don’t need it in to start, pulling it does not kill...

Re: Honda BF150 - What is this thing?

The only other thing I could think of is from a breather assembly. I’ve heard of seals going and oil ending up in the flywheel area but this doesn’t sound like that.

Re: Honda BF150 - What is this thing?

I just looked at mine and can not get a good look behind the intake to see the area you have pictured (mine is an 06). Do you have any residual up by your oil fill?

    Re: BF200 overheating

I think flushing through the thermostat down is your next best option, even with the barnacle buster. If possible, rig your pump to go into the tstat housing and have the bucket under the pickup...

    Re: BF200 overheating

It sounds like this sat for a while and had quite a bit of stuff plugged up. I’ve heard of people pulling the Tstats off, pulling lines downstream then running a hose on high pressure through the...

    Re: BF200 overheating

I’ve done straight vinegar with an aquarium pump from the T stat down (leg removed) to a bucket. Circulated for a while, then switched areas in the t stat housing (I have a 150). I was not...

    Re: Outboard to Bluetooth??

Figured I would give an update on this—I was ready to dive back into this with the Corona situation keeping us inside for a bit, but in all the cleaning out we decided to do, the cable between the...

Thanks for the help—I will pick this up before the season picks up again!
  11. Re: Fuel Additives & New Seafoam Marine Pro

I am very curious about this. I use ring free with each fill up, but if I can get the same plus a stabilizer that would be better.

    Re: Outboard to Bluetooth??

I’ve seen those, but mine is an 06 and is not NMEA compliant. I am working on a Bluetooth device and trying to get Dr H on it. If nothing else just a little project to tinker with.

    Outboard to Bluetooth??

    Hi all,
I may be looking in the wrong places so far, but does Honda have a similar product to Mercury’s vessel view, which plugs into the outboard and allows for real time data into your smartphone?...

    Lower unit dilemma

Looking to winterize this week, however I want to repaint the bottom of the skeg before spring. I may also do the lower unit seals depending on fluid condition. My dilemma is if I should remove the...

I second this! Searching through responses and the help here almost feels like I make money every time I do anything related to my Honda. The only negative is the fear of having an issue pop up...

Re: Tube Set, Oil - BF150

Perfect. Thank you! I was advised to change this part each oil change and use where it connects to suck the oil out in the fall when I do the change—-had never heard that before!

    Tube Set, Oil - BF150

Quick question—-what is the role of this part (part 22 on the diagram) referred to as the “tube set, oil”? I see it connects to the head cover and then to what looks like the oil pan. Thanks!!

    Re: Tell tale ??

There is a slight chance it could have sediment in the VST cooler as well.
