    sounds like a loose connection.....and the pump should be securely mounted - they last longer that way....

    they are decent brands are are holley and carter and airtex.....just get a marine rated...

    As a rule, you need to replace exhaust elbows after a finite period of time...the cast iron will corrode and eventually water flows where it shouldn't.....

    "In a lake" will give you a longer life...

    the four 'attachments' have bad links....

    they may be pumps.....there's not enough of the 'whole engine' in the pic to reach a solid conclusion.....

    maybe somebody with a lot of first hand...

    32 1/8" with the newer center riser manifold....so you should be fine with the exhaust manifolds (and other bolt ons that protrude) removed....

    Sounds to me that they are saying most people just use the hold down clip to 'ground the distributor' and this is far from ideal....adding a dedicated ground wire would be a good idea.

    I've always used PST on bolts that enter a 'jacket' and get wet....

    they typically don't "fail" unless they are abused and then they may crack.

    Its you initial filter....so its important ....I'd be inclined to rebuild the fuel pump first...
