    This is typical for yamaha 4 strokes. Just as long as water exits the tell tale, you're good to go.

    Only one reason I know that would cause fuel in a tank to go against the law of gravity and that’s pressure....as in the tank is pressurizing. Check your vent line is clear.

    Choking riches the mix by closing the throttle valves, thus lessening the amount of air mix. If the engine is responding to a richer mix then the carbs need to be time/synced appropriately.
