  1. Re: BF250 sluggish and then died. Fuel problem, O2 sensor problem, something else???

These engines hate a dirty HP filter. Hopefully that will fix it. Let us know.
  2. Re: BF250 sluggish and then died. Fuel problem, O2 sensor problem, something else???

I am fairly sure it will. Not sure that the fault codes are the same, but likely close.
  3. Re: BF250 sluggish and then died. Fuel problem, O2 sensor problem, something else???

OK. Let us know what happens at the test. AND, if not running 100% pull fault codes again.
  4. Re: BF250 sluggish and then died. Fuel problem, O2 sensor problem, something else???

Ditto - Pull fault codes, drain the VST, and change out the high pressure fuel filter. Contrary to the published maintenance schedule, the HP fuel filter should be changed every season or every 100...

Ian - thanks for the update and feedback. One of these days I plan to upgrade to a 250.

    Re: Back on board again

Cmerc - please continue to keep the forum updated on your 250 journey. From what I've seen on the parts diagrams, the 250 has exactly the same fuel system as the 200/225. Obviously, the ECU and some...
  7. Re: BF225 Power Tilt/Trim Assembly Kit Question

The diagram is confusing. I really can't tell what all item 48 includes. Best to call Boats.net and ask them.

If you have the Helm shop manual, look on page 14-18 and 14-20 to see the parts you...
  8. Re: BF225 Power Tilt/Trim Assembly Kit Question

Why do you say you need a new pump? Is the motor not running?

If you only need to change out the motor, attached is a cross reference between the Honda tilt/trim motors and the API equivalent.

    Re: BF225 idling issues

Did you try to pull fault codes?

First thing that comes to mind is that possibly the low pressure fuel pump is acting up - worn plunger or leaking diaphragm. At initial start when problem starts...

Re: New to me Honda 9.9 having issues

Ditto on Jimmy's advice. Also, it's been a very long time since I ever worked on a small outboard and it was an old 9.9 Evinrude, but here are a few other thoughts...

    First, determine if you are...

Re: 2003 Honda 225 key pad not lighting up.

I doubt it is the fuse, which I suspect protects just the ignition positive wires in the harness. BUT - it should be checked. Something is likely not plugged in that should be plugged in. Note that...

Re: 2003 Honda 225 key pad not lighting up.

I suspect something is unplugged. Digital or analog gauges?

Attached is the wiring diagram for a dual engine digital set up. It's easy to figure it out for a single engine. Note the 7.5 amp fuse...
  18. Re: Honda BF50D (fuel injected) rpm fluctuation stuttering surging need a pro

Yes, that would seem to be a good indicator. However, as I said in my initial response, I don't know anything about this engine.

Yes they are! I missed that. Look at the diagram's in SB#56 to confirm. The new ones are configured differently.

    Re: Buying twin bf200 engines

OK. You need to be concerned with the exhaust tubes. Your engines likely have the originals in it. You can call Honda Customer Service at 770-497-6400, give them your serial numbers, and see if they...
