    Re: 225 Stalls after trolling

torotor Just a wee comment, overheating does not log a code and I don't think your motor is ready to use as an anchor. Try the fuel cooler flow check, I'm almost certain that is. your problem, it's...

    Re: Twin BF150's, Different Performance?

First thing I would do is replace the thermostats and get that temp up, Starboard is running too cold which will cause rich fuel mixture resulting in fouled plugs and high fuel consunption along with...

Re: Swap powerhead on 90hp fuel injected

You should have no problem changing them over, use a workshop manual and do it step by step. Most of the bolts are inside the oil pan area. Just buy yourself a powerhead gasket kit(cheapest option)...

Re: 2007 Honda bf225 no spark

Well that's a little different to no spark. That's going to be heads off, you will have bent valves since you have turned the motor with incorrect valve timing.

Re: 2007 Honda bf225 no spark

As chawk said, No6 fuse supplies a constant 12V to the all the coils through the Yel/blue wire. The most obvious and may seem seem silly, is your lanyard clipped in, if it is, try disconnecting the...

Check the fuel line where it runs through the rigging grommet and check that it hasn't been crushed or kinked
  11. Re: Honda bf50d in guardian mode? HELP please!

You need to monitor fuel pressure at point where engine is bogging down, all you have done is confirm the pump is working. One more question, engine off and fuel pressure gauge connected, does the...

Re: Honda BF130 no MIL light

Workshop manual with a wiring diagram would be the first step. You more than likely have a wiring fault in the 3 wire harness from the engine to the dash. Just to give you a bit of a heads up,...
  13. Re: Honda bf50d in guardian mode? HELP please!

To diagnose properly you are going to have to do the checks on the water under load and find someone with drH

    Re: BF225 Issue

Did you replace the high pressure filter on the vapour separator ? It does sound like a fuel issue, have you got a fuel pressure gauge so that you can check pressure under way?

    Re: BF225 Issue

You don't give very much information. Does it do this as soon as you open the throttle full ? If not, how long before it does? Have you tried doing a cylinder drop test, if you have a cracked coil...
  16. Re: Honda bf50d in guardian mode? HELP please!

Was that at full throttle under load?
  17. Re: Honda bf50d in guardian mode? HELP please!

Re: Honda 225 Power Curve question

I have found a smaller diameter is better in situations when you're under powered. Have you tried a 14.5 × 15 ?

Re: Honda 225 Power Curve question

No you can't change it without trying to source a remappable ecm. The power kich you're getting is from the variable valve timing kicking in at 4200rpm
  20. Re: Rescue team in trouble with Honda BF50, pls help needed...

There are only two reasons for limp mode and that is oil pressure and overheat. It is possible you have a cylinder dropping out causing an alarm associated with the O2 sensor
