    Re: 1996 Johnson 90HP Model J90TLEDA

The first step in trouble shooting that motor is a compression test.----Post your numbers.
  13. Re: 1958 johnson rde-19 35 hp only ideal at start position

Compression seems low.---Unless compression was taken with recoil and compression release active.----Might be as simple as adjusting idle mixture properly.---Or making sure that throttle does not...
  14. Re: What's the low down on the throttle linkage? 1995 115

The linkages rarely go out of adjustment.----What is the serial # of your motor ?-----I would start the trouble shooting with a compression test.----Post your numbers.

Re: 70 hp Johnson fouling plugs.

Is this a 1974 model or a 2001 model.----Post model # and post results of a compression test.----Plug will look new if there is no fuel.-----No spark.----Too much fuel.-----Poor crankcase compression.
  20. Re: 1958 johnson rde-19 35 hp only ideal at start position

Reed valves are very reliable.----And reed valves have nothing to do with compression in the cylinder.
