    for MPG, you need fuel consumed and velocity made good (or one of the many variations of 'speed') to be sent to your 'mpg function'...assuming the Go9 has the GPS function, you just need to set up...

    As long as you know what you are doing, going old school should be just fine.

    Some of the newer blocks wont support all of the older options...just take it in small chunks and he should be fine...

    did you use a new cap or the old cap (and rotor)? if new, are they high grade marine parts (brass contacts vs aluminum)?

    I'd recheck the high tension leads to ensure they are connected correctly....

    he should have Quadrajets on it. Swapping carbs between the engines will tell if the problem goes with the carb or not.

    I'd be inclined to change both anti-syphon valves given the age of the boat...

    An older manual suggests the harness connection to the neutral switch is faulty or the neutral switch itself has gone bad.

    Yes, having the timing off can cause what you described...and I would say it is off a good bit.

    I'd suggest bumping the engine around until 1) the rotor points close to the #1 plug terminal and 2)...
