Zincs for Heat Exchanger chry 360

"for the heat exchangers on my 360's (the L shaped ones), do I need to drain everything to change the zincs? Never done this before. Also, where are the threads for the zincs - are they on a vertical piece of the unit or horizonal piece.

They look like a drain plug.

If you're quick fingered it can be done with minimal coolant loss.

They should be brass plugs min

They should be brass plugs mine were if you take out the plug have a cheap steel one ready to put in hole under the brass plug in the middle its threaded for the new pencil zinc it maybe plugged if its been a while clean it out good and thread in the new then reinstall just went through it....Hope that helps
