1969 6 hp for sale

[FONT=&quot]1969 6 hp Sea King. Motor is super clean, has not been used in a while. Has spark, excellent compression and lower unit seals are good based on check out by mechanic. Set the motor in a garbage can of water and it ran when given a shot of starter fluid, but would not idle. Needs carb rebuilt and probably water pump impeller. Email me and I'll send pics. Could not figure out how to attach here.

If it is not running say so you may get $50 as a parts motor or strip it down and sell the parts. Sounds like a slug to me.

I said exactly what I know about the motor. You make it sound like I'm lying or hiding something.

This is a repair forum what are the compression numbers? Will the spark jump a 1/4 inch gap brite blue snap? does the gearbox pass a pressure test and was the gearoil clean? The way you described the engine I would tell anyone to run away period.
