is the 270 crusader actually a

is the 270 crusader actually a 5.7 350 with 270 hp? anyone had any luck with replacing the quadrajet carbs with edlebrocks? if so are they direct replacements or is an intake change in order. wheres the best place to get quadrajet carbs?

best to rebuild what you have unless it has sat with water in the bowl.

they have sat for 4 years.ugly inside.have had good luck with edlebrocks on street cars.thought it would be the way to go.found a place for rebuilt quad-jets but about the same price as the e-brocks.thanks

"I replaced the qjet with a qjet, (purchased from west marine, was in a rush, didnt want to wait for shipping...) instant I put it on the engine fired like a champ. It seems some people like the edelbrocks better than the qjets, like some people like brunettes better than redheads, but I have had no problems at all with the new carb, and it was as easy as changing a lightbulb."
