BF5A Lower unit seal replacement

"I'm OK with the replaceme

"I'm OK with the replacement of the drive shaft seal, but I'm puzzled by the bronze collar around the shift rod seal. Does the bronze collar torque off? Am I supposed to pull the old seal out of the bronze collar? What's the technique? Thanks"
