Carbon build up evinrude 115

In the process of fixing a leaking head i find the pistons have a consistent carbon buildup.

Should I work to remove or leave alone. Since iI have the heads off is there any issue and how would this be accomplished.

This is a 1992 with best guess 400 hours total run time.

Seems to run fine and no issues getting to 5500 rpm. Open to any thoughts...head 2.jpg

I recommend to my customers to use either the XD50 or a good quality oil and carbon fuel additive such as Carbonguard or Quickleen....The XD50 has the carbon cleaner mixed in.
