My fuel filter is stuck.

The fuel filter on my Sea Pro going into my Johnson 115 is stuck. I have not been able to budge it. Any suggestions? The filter was on the boat when I acquired it.

Strap wrench, standard for filters you can't loosen by hand.

Nope. It will not move. I’m going to gently tap around the top to see if it loosens.

More Muscle. Try a big slip joint Pliers.

Know of a mechanic who would drive a screwdriver through them ----Gives you a good handle to turn it.

Muscle and ingenuity did the trick. Our wrench kept slipping, so my wife wrapped a piece of duct tape around the filter, we both tugged/pushed and off it came. Thank you for the help.

I've done many of those in my life, had many slip in the past, the duct tape idea is very clever, sounds like opening a jar 101. tell your wife to keep um coming!
