Fallout Radiation type noise coming from 5.7 Mercruiser

Only way I can describe this creaking noise, almost late night frog sounding. Only happens after the engine warms up.

Ayuh,.... Sounds like the belt, rub a bar of Lava hand soap against the inside of the belt, 'n see if it goes away,.....

Check power steering fluid.----Check for bad bearings on belt driven stuff.

Ayuh,.... Sounds like the belt, rub a bar of Lava hand soap against the inside of the belt, 'n see if it goes away,.....

And soap doesn't make it slip? I have heard this (or using a candle) for decades, but prefer to spray something on the belt that won't damage it, like water. It quiets sounds from slipping, then dries.

Check for loose brackets on anything that uses the belt, too. I have heard similar sounds from power steering or alternator brackets and idler pulleys.
