fuel pump 85 hp johnson 2 verses 3 line fuel pump?

The 2 nipple pumps were mounted directly over the PRESSURE pulse port.----The 3 nipple pumps were mounted with a hose to a pressure port.----Insides of these pumps are the same.-----.Is the pump on there now a 2 nipple , mounted just in front of the starter ?----Does your motor have the original 79 block / intake manifold ?

yes it is
 
I would simply install a new diaphragm instead of replacing the pump.------Or what is your motor doing / not doing that makes you ask the question ?
 
I have a 77 85hp 3 port and they don't sell rebuild kits anymore. The pump they sell now has been through 5 different revisions and is bigger even though they lie through their teeth and tell you its the same.
