2000 mercruiser GM 5.7 high roms

Hello, my 1996 Mercruiser idles at 3500 rpms.

Gm 5.7 350. Has a holy carb 4 barrel.

make sure the throttle plates are closed - probably quickest to just remove the remote cable at the carb...and then make sure the carb is mounted snuggly and the gasket is in good shape...no vacuum leaks...
