Mercury ME5M 4ST = TOHATSU?

New guy alert!

I just got a Mercury 5hp outboard from a friend. The Model is ME5M 4ST with a 1999 above it. Is this actually a Tohatsu Outboard? If so, what Model is it = to?

I'd like to try and get a Manual, Service Manual and Parts Book for it. Just want to know If I'm tied to Mercury for it or would Tohatsu be better?

Perhaps the better question is.... what Tohatsu MODEL & SERIAL is equivalent to the Mercury ME5M 4ST with a S/N of 0R007XXX and 1999 on the Tag?
