    Leaking gear oil

    I have a 1985 3.0. When my sterndrive in raised, I leak gear oil out the back. It is not coming out the fill or drain plugs and gear oil is clean. Any ideas?

    1984 60 hp outboard carb issue

    I bought a boat with a 60 hp mercury outboard motor on it. I was able to start but no fuel, Pulled off the carbs to clean, which they needed badly and when I went to pull off the gasket, this is what I found. First picture is how I found the gasket and the third is how I assume it is suppose to go.

    84 Mercury Outboat Fuel Pump

    I just picked up this motor and I have limited knowledge of outboard motors. One of my lines on the fuel pump is not connected to anything. Does anyone know where it might go?
