Iam a bit confused here lets take for example a 225hp what is what here out of the 3 sensors ,the 60hp pre 1997 and a 90hp not sure of the year one of the 3 sensors fits these motors as well and the manual refers to it as a thermo switch sensor and the manual of the 225hp refers to the 3...
The hole you see where ive the rubber mount sitting on is a blind hole the gear fits in there no oil will come out if you remove the gear shaft on the bottom side of the oil pan its got a seal replace that seal too ,its been a while now since ive done this when i stripped and rebuilt the motor.
Not to scare you this motor was flushed by the previous owner this is the flush port full of salt build up on the 130 hp at the top end of the motor its got a pressure valve inside that stops water from coming out from the motor but opens up when garden hose water pressure is on .Clean it using...
IF you ever have to remove the power head make sure you line the dots up on the gear shaft gears and at the same time replace the seal this mtr was used in salt water notice the salt on the seal.
Thats why it has 3hose nippels one feeds fuel when the red lever is turned for the manual priming the other is when the key switch is pushed in the bigger nippel is the fuel supply.
If you gonna do this job to change the head to the improved one with the grooves machined in if you dont expect trouble down the line mine is a 2001 model .Change all gaskets and seals includeing this one its on the pan for the gearshift HAVE A LOOK AT THE CONDITION OF IT.They are good motors...
You see the grooves on the exhaust port end side ,my BZBE 130 did not have these grooves in, a big improovement on the water flow was restricted in this area and the main reason for the head to crack mine cracked between no 1 & 2 cylinder .
