My 225 had been surging when I try to go WOT.
When I pin the throttle it gets up 4600 4800 then surges.
will Not stay up in higher rpm.
I changed high and low fuel filter, tested it. Motor ran great could hit 5800 rpm all good.
ran boat 7 hours yesterday ran great all day but ocean fishing...
Hey all, my 225 was surging at about 4800 and above.
after reading around I changed the height and low pressure filter my racor water separator.
when I first got my engine 100 hours ago 3 years ago the Honda service tech said he couldn’t drain the vst without removing it.
question… best way...
Pulled my codes and looks like my o2 sensor is bad. Pulled it and it looked horrible. Tight on funds.
Looking for the aftermarket number for an o2 sensor. I think the walker o2 sensor 932-24008 is for the newer models. Trying to figure it out.

had an alarm, checked water separator and wire was corroded off. Is there a part number for the wire itself?
Or must I replace the whole assembly.
Also, will the motor run with the wires off the sensor or will it constantly throw an alarm.

Located a large corrosion hole behind the vst on the horizontal cross section of the water passage.
Can anybody message me the vst removal process? I do not have the book. Looking to get it off so I can hopefully get a weld on it.

So I have the dreaded corrosion hole. Leaking water.
Shop said just go with it as they would not fix it only put a new power head and that’s not in the cards. So i am on my own.
Ive read other posts. Jb weld? If so the two part or the steel stick? And other product that works better?
Also...
Going to need key switch , gauge, binnacle and trim harness to engine. Is there a specific harness and specific gauges for the optimax 115 ?

Ran the boat today after a code reset. When I came in I noticed
water coming from the lower seam of the cowling. Boat ran fine.
Got boat home connected it rinse from the wash down fitting.

I had an intermittent alarm and the check engine light come on today for the send time.
It doesn’t happen every time I run the boat but happens under the San scenario.
I run the boat out the harbor 5mph 10 minutes then run 4000 rpm for 5 minutes then wide open for 20 seconds, back in harbor...
I need a new harness. Ian looking for the part number/how many wire harness needed. It the engine to key switch harness. Wanted to make sure I get the right one.

trim works at engine.
fuses all look good, not sure which should have power with ignition not working?

no beep or lights or clicks at key switch
no volt meter or other meters.
