    Need help identifying my Johnson outboard PLEASE!!!

    I recently purchased a 88 Bayliner with I was told was a 1991 225hp Johnson. The motor has been painted over as you can tell in the pictures and I am unable to locate the model # on the transom bracket. The serial # on the freeze plug appears to be 63041597. I greatly appreciate any help anyone...
