    Force tilt trim problem

    Please help 1988 force 125 hp new pump and motor not working properly. Tilts up just fine but won't tilt down. it acts like it's going to go down but just bumps down about half an inch and then bounces back up. everything sounds fine it just won't go down. Frustrated and discouraged please help.

    I recently bought a used boat and the tilt trim pump and motor were both gone from boat. I bought a new pump and motor and installed them tilts up just fine but won't go down. 1988 force 125 hp
