    I am purchasing a new gear case/lower unit for my '58 35 Super Seahorse, as I apparently have a crack in the upper area above the fill that I can't get to to fix. I'm just curious and can't remember, but does the driveshaft just pull out of the gear case, via splines, or is it more in depth...
