Hi All,
Recently I've heard if you're running primarily in fresh water, you can go to a 160 degree thermostat to make the engine run better....(not as rich)....and that this would help at higher altitudes...say 3700 ft (Lake Powell)
Thoughts?
Hi All,
My 30 yr old (800 hr) 350 Chevy/Volvo is out of the boat.
Any thoughts on what to change/check before installing?
I replaced the rusty oil pan...
Any way to check freeze plugs?
THX!
The wood around the keyhole seems good...
is there a viable patch that could be used here?
epoxy? Git Rot? Sea cast?
I'd prefer to USE the boat this year...and redo the entire transom over the winter.
Thanks for your response.
Russ
Hi All,
My 1979 AQ260A 350 Chevy ...820 hrs in mostly salt water...about 200 hrs on new heads I did....
It runs about 145psi in all cyl except #3 which is 130-135psi
Since I've got the engine out now....would you replace it....or go for another 5 years....and bring a kicker for insurance...
Hi, I hear so much about how E-10 and soon E-15 will ruin our boat motors....and how you can't leave it in your tank over the winter....
Any thoughts?
Russ
