    I have a late '80s Merc 3 cyl with Oil Injection. While cruising up river the oil alarm went off so I cut the motor and checked the oil level. there was plenty of oil. I restarted the motor and no alarm. It's a good motor, so my question is am i better off to drain the oil from the oil injection...

    Mercury 700 3 cyl stopped dead, need ideas on possible causes.

    Can anyone help me understand why my mercury 700 was running beautifully and then suddenly stops dead? New fuel lines, clean fuel, cleaned carbs, new water pump, happily cruising at 25mph three quarter throttle and then nothing. No misfire, no coughing, not seized, motor turned fine on starter...
