My foot controlled motorguide 70 lbs 24 volts trolling motor rotary switch pin broke, so no momentary control from my foot control. Was looking for a fix of the disassembling the switch online and didn't find one. So, post this to help others after I took apart mine.

FIXED by driving a 1" drywall screw to hold the cable with the steering rack gear. Let's see if the TM will go crazy again. This should stop the cable from coming loose and prevent the lower shaft and prop from spinning on its own will. REDNECK WAY! YES!! Saved $600 for a brand new 70lbs TM. I...
