Fishing both fresh water and salt water in DC, Maryland and Virginia
(1) bought a 14 feet canoe in 2003 for freshwater fishing and upgraded it to solar powered, Raymarine Dragonfly 7 chirp sonar and downvision sonar fish finder/GPS. powered by Minn Kota C2 30 pound push with Digital speed Maximizer.
(2) 2013 bought a 1974 wellcraft airslot 165 sport Mercury 90hp (replaced with a Johnson 90 hp - 2 cycles and 4 cylinders) to do my saltwater fishing and taking friends boating and cruising. Installed a 70 lbs foot controlled motorguide trolling motor, Lots of fun on Potomac river with my power boat. The power boat is equipped with VHF marine radio with antenna (up to 5 miles radius reception), fish/depth finder with speed, GPS, DIY home projects and free software i used tutorials.
