    Towing Position of Outboard

I'm new to trailering my pontoon. What is the recommended position of the outboard while towing---normal position down or trimmed up? Also, should I consider a transom saver of some sort? The trailering runs will all be less than 40 miles over highway surfaces.

What to do about old fuel?

My boat has been stranded on the boatlift for over a year due to low lake levels. I've always kept the tank near full, and have used Stabil gas treatment for all new fuel added. I've run my BF150 regularly on muffs, and it seems to start and run well, but admittedly it's not under load. I...

    BF150 Water Pump Replacement

I'm looking at the Helm manual in preparation of changing out my water pump on my BF150. It implies that the shift rod must be taken out once you drop the lower unit. I don't see how this has anything to do with the water pump. I know you have to be careful to have the gear in neutral, but...

    BF 150 lower unit

Chawk_man, I noticed on one of your posts that you change out your water pump often. Any tricks or pitfalls on dropping and re-installing the lower unit? I know you're running a 225, but seems like the 150 would be similar.

    BF 150 impeller changeout

I'm thinking of changing out my impeller myself. Is this something that a Honda mechanic should do instead? If I do it myself, are there any tricks or pitfalls? Thanks
