    AQ140a 1 wire alt conversion

    Say I wanted to convert my alt to a delco 1 wire. The existing alt had 3 wires, 1 hot, 1 negative, and 1 labeled resistor. Should I just run the hot wire to the alt, the negative to the case on the alt, and the resistor wire goes to? Thanks for any help...

    Mariner 5M 6e3

    My dad called me and said he bought a 5 horse mariner from a pawn shop and the guy told him it was a 4 stroke I told him I thought it would be a 2 stroke,and not to run it until I find out. Are any of you guys familiar with this engine?
