I just purchased a 2000 Evinrude 90 FICHT (e90FPLSSH) from a guy who was moving to a 4-stroke. Package came with oil tank, all gauges and wire harness. I hooked up the wire harness yesterday and there are a few wires I am unsure where they go. Here are some pics....

Purchased a new to me 2000 Evinrude 90 (E90FPLSSH). I have read that the FICHT engines are fine up to and including the 115. I've also read a bunch of pointers to keep it running smooth and (hopefully) problem free. Soooo.. someone was moving to a 4-stroke and sold me his engine for a steal...
I like these old V4 engines... looks good on my 1964 16-1/2' whaler Katama. But mine sputters at idle and low speed.... runs rough. She smokes (could be my oil/gas ratio) yet at WOT she the sputter goes away (of course). Bottom line is she just doesn't leave me confident to allow my youngest...

I purchased a new to me 1980s Johnson 115. Moving it off of my trailer it fell and hit a tree root of all things. Unfortunately it bent and cracked the lower cowl. I have read you can't bend back cast...
