    50 hp Force

    Engine would start and run smoothly but not generate enough power to get boat on plane. Turned out to be a bad coil for the bottom cylinder. Got a new one from Standard Magneto Sales in Chicago for $75. Runs perfectly now. Too bad the cold, rainy weather is setting in.

    50 hp Force carb rebuild problem

    I am unable to remove the float pin. I've soaked it with penetrating lube and waited overnight but it just won't budge. I'm reluctant to try driving it out as I don't want to break the casting. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks,.....Gordie
