    1975 Johnson 9.9 hp. Starts on 2nd pull, but runs only 10-15 seconds.

    Put a kit in the carburetor (new float, needle and seat. Also replaced the fuel pump. Still only runs a short time. It will start again, and again. Any ideas?

    Johnson E30RCOA Charging coil wiring

    I'm putting a starter on a 30 hp Johnson E30RCOA. I bought a charging coil Part # 0581670, and a rectifier Part # 0581778 from Marine engine .com. I also bought the Seloc repair manual 18-01302 for a wiring diagram. The rectifier has 4 wires color coded the same as the wiring diagram 1- yellow...
