    just purchased a 1969 distributor in the hopes I could just change out the collar to match my carb setup.Well I was wrong now in order for this distributor to work I need the top carb cluster part number 52518 and this is NLA. anybody have any Idea's where these still can be purchased??

    1972 merc 80 hp Distributor question

    Will the Distributor from a 1970 merc 65hp model fit my 1972 merc 80hp.The 650 has the same style cdi ignition as mine just the distributor is a little different.I am pretty sure it will bolt up and work for my switchbox but I am not sure how it works with the carb link.
